  • For young adults & adults

    This is the class you need to take if you want to get into on-camera acting. With all the new films, television shows, commercials coming into Boston you'd better be comfortable in front of the camera! This class will introduce you to all aspects of screen acting. Learn how to break down scripts and practice through mock auditions for commercials, films, corporate videos, tv shows, and more. On-camera improvisation and monologues will also be covered. You’ll take in a broad reach of material and after 6 weeks, you’ll leave the class feeling confident and ready to take the next step in your career!

  • For young adults & adults

    Pulling from the basic on-camera technique learned in Screen Acting 101, students will delve further into the audition process, honing skills and working on character choices and text analysis. The second half of the class will focus on what happens when you book the job. Actors will be given a scene to prep, rehearse it with the director (instructor), and then film. A set will be created in order to facilitate the specifics that happen when filming, including types of shots, changes in scripts, and being able to "think on your feet and outside the box" in any and all situations. This in-depth class is perfect for the professional actor in the making!

  • All Ages

    Utilizing actual film & television sides in a supportive and creative environment, students will work on-camera with playback as they learn how to audition for and work on-camera. In-class work will target character development, reading and analyzing scripts, the technical requirements of the camera, and how to turn all of it into a great audition! Tips and tricks for the virtual audition world and self-taping will also be covered.

  • For ages 8 - 15

    Why have your kids spend their school vacation watching reruns on the couch when they could be perfecting their acting chops with Boston Casting’s Tween/Teen On-Camera Bootcamp? During this two-day workshop, your child will work on group improvisation, scripts from commercials, television and film to sharpen performance skills, gain confidence and achieve the self-discipline necessary to excel on-screen.

  • All Ages

    No matter how finely tuned your acting skills are, you will have a tough time booking a job if you don’t audition well. The audition is everything. Every actor must be prepared to walk into an audition, deliver an engaging, flawless performance, and maintain professional audition etiquette throughout. An addition to mock auditions, topics covered in this class include script breakdown using scenes and commercials, as well as tips and tricks to navigating the virtual audition world.

  • All Ages

    Do you want to learn improvisation, an indispensable skill in today's commercial market? Do you want to acquire the skills that make for a great audition? Then this is the class for you! Focusing on the current casting trends, this class helps you to "think on your feet" in any audition situation. Students will learn how to use improv to interpret and deliver commercial copy in an interesting and believable manner and improve cold reading technique. This is the foundation that every actor needs. This class covers all aspects of today's audition world (which is mostly virtual, with in-studio callbacks).
